Bed Size Chart FAQ
What are the dimensions of a queen bed?
A queen mattress is 60 × 80 inches (152 × 203 cm), or 5 × 6.67 feet. It is the most popular size for couples.
What is the difference between a King and a California King?
A King is 76 × 80 in, wider and shorter. A California King is 72 × 84 in, 4 in narrower but 4 in longer, which suits taller sleepers. Their surface areas are almost the same.
Is a full the same as a double?
Yes. Full and double are two names for the same size, about 54 × 75 in (some brands list 53 in wide).
Why do Twin and Full widths vary between brands?
Brands do not all use identical sizes. Retailers list Twin and Twin XL as 38 or 39 in wide and Full as 53 or 54 in, and the industry guideline (ISPA) is about half an inch smaller still. Measure the frame and check the product's listed dimensions before buying sheets or a bed frame.
